I needed some opinions on what happened to me yesterday, so here goes:?

Sounds like the kid is extremely spoiled and that's problem number one. Now, if you're caring for someone else's child, I believe that the "I had no time to speak with the mother last night" was a bit unnecessary. In this case, I would've waited for the mother to arrive (no matter what I had to do; we're talking about another person's child in your care) and told her about the situation in private. from then on, it's the mother's responsibilty what happens next.
