Is this normal questions for the hospital to be asking or is there a flag on the name ?

I'm from ontario and have heard of many people having their babies taken away from them. There is two things that happen. Their name is flagged, the hospital is to call c.a.s. after the baby is born, they come and take the baby before the mother is to take them home. Then it is up to the mother to work on regaining custody. I know they also have a less severe action where they are to be contacted when the baby is born, but the mother gets to take them home and will be visited shortly after arriving home to make sure everything is in order. The case stays open for however long and the mother will have regular visits with the c.a.s. worker. I would suggest contacting the local c.a.s. office and make an appointment to see what needs to be done so the baby is not taken from the hospital.
