What does it feel to go backwards...?

on a rollercoaster? I've never been on a steel roller coaster before, but I've been on wooden. I don't really feel the drop in my stomach on the wooden roller coasters because they're not as big and it's not really a drop, it's more of going down a hill. My friend reccommends my first steel one to be Flashback at Six Flags New England. I'm kinda of nervous for the drop and then going backwards, not scared of the loops.
